Postpartum Doula Support

Serving Mid Coast and Southern Maine

I see you, mama.

The early weeks and months with a new baby are tender, raw, and precious. So many new parents feel overwhelmed and depleted, but it doesn’t have to be that way! As a postpartum doula, I am here to support you through this huge transition, helping you learn new skills, attuning to you and listening during the hard moments, and taking some tasks off your plate so you can rest and enjoy your sweet new baby.

Imagine a day where I arrive at your home, and instead of asking to see your baby, I immediately tend to you.

I ask how you are doing, how your body is healing, and bring you a cup of tea and a snack while you snuggle your sweet newborn.

I listen without judgment or advice as you process your birth story, and answer your questions about feeding and babywearing.

A little later, I care for your baby while you take a long hot shower and nap in a freshly made bed. You wake up to a tidy kitchen, a restocked diaper station, and a snack. When I leave, you feel rested, ready to take on the evening. You feel reassured, connected, and tuned into yourself and your baby.

Hi there!

I’m Nicole, postpartum doula and founder of Arrive Postpartum. I’m so glad you’re here! I’m on a mission to help you find more ease and joy in parenting your new baby. In addition to being a doula, I am a Certified Lactation Counselor, parenting group facilitator, mother to two very intense and wonderful children, and an advocate for parents.

I believe that there are a million “right” ways to parent, and if it feels hard, it’s not your fault.

No matter how you feed or soothe your baby, whether you sleep train or bedshare, whether you work outside the home or not, I see you and I know you are doing a great job.

Kind Words from Clients

I feel so fortunate to have found Nicole at Arrive! I reached out to her when my son was a few weeks old and I felt simply overwhelmed with becoming a first time parent, and during a pandemic, no less!

We had a tricky start to breastfeeding and she helped us get the support we needed! I highly recommend Nicole for all new mamas who need a kind and knowledgeable support in their postpartum days.

Nicole was nurturing, thoughtful, and- most importantly- truly helpful after the birth of my third baby.  I recommend her to care for first-time and veteran moms and babies!
